Bluff is the newest, and probably the last, addition to our breeding herd of llamas.  As you can see from the photos above, she is a beautiful red and white paint, with all the wonderful qualities we are breeding for.  She has extremely straight conformation, thick bone, silky locked fiber, good ears, tons of stretch, and a sweet personality.  She is huge too, and hasn't even stopped growing yet!  Bluff brings some great bloodlines to our farm!  Her sire is a handsome Tuna Catcher appaloosa bred by Mark Smith Farms.  Her dam is a full Chilean girl that has thrown beautiful paint crias with locked fiber.

    Bluff had never been shown in ALSA shows before she joined our farm, but was 4-H trained as a yearling.  She made her ALSA debut at the 2008 Kentuckiana Classic, and cleaned up with a 2nd place in a large and competitive class.  She placed 1st and Grand at the Allen County Open.  She has earned 11 points towards her ALSA ROM in halter.

     Bluff's first cria was born 3.5 weeks late, but Rainier was worth the wait!  He was sold before weaned, and is now a show winner for his new owner!  Bluff's second cria was born right on her due date!  Lily would have been a show winner for sure too, but was killed by neighboring dogs at only 3 months of age.  Bluff was bred back to Ridge in April, so she's expecting a cria in spring 2012.

Bluff's Show Placings
